About TrevethanTrevethan is a newly-extended and refurbished single-storey property
that sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. The property, which has recently been
awarded a 4-star rating by the English Tourism Council, is in central
Rock in a tranquil location away from the main road but within easy
walking distance of the shops and post office. Children are welcome but
pets are not accepted and smoking is not permitted. Trevethan has
off-street parking for two cars and a fully-enclosed rear garden with
paved and lawn areas. This property lets from Friday to Friday. Bed
linen and towels, heating and electricity are included. The sitting area has a
wall-mounted digital TV receiving free view channels, and a DVD player.
The dining area has a large dining table with 8 comfortable upholstered
dining chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob and
cooker, full-size dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. There is a
separate utility and storage room with washing machine, tumble-dryer,
and ironing facilities, where wetsuits can be hung and bikes, surfboards
and luggage stored. A few body boards are provided for your use.
Accommodation comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 ensuite), an open-plan
kitchen/dining area and vaulted sitting area. Double doors from the sitting room lead on to a large stone patio with teak table, benches, and barbecue. The garden gets plenty of sun, has a lawned area bordered by trees and shrubs and is private and secluded.
About
RockRock is a renowned Cornish resort , located on the east side of the Camel estuary, close to the Atlantic coast. It has excellent golf courses, sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing, access to rural and coastal walks and a fine choice of good restaurants, pubs and leisure clothing shops. The famous beach at Daymer bay with its sandy shore and dunes is ideal for children and for windsurfing whilst the beach at Polzeath provides excellent surfing. The picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, featured in the TV series Doc Martin and renowned for its lobster and crab, is a short drive away. Padstow, famed for the restaurants and shops of TV chef Rick Stein is a quick ferry-ride away. Wadebridge, with a cinema and good selection of shops and restaurants is a 5-mile drive away. The Camel cycle trail from Padstow to Bodmin can be accessed from Wadebridge where bicycles can be hired.
Rock is a good base for touring Cornwall with its plethora of old
fishing ports, outstanding gardens, historic houses and childrens theme
parks.
